At Unhako, we’re animal lovers and advocates. Overlooking animal cruelty for the sake of beauty just isn’t in our constitution.

All Unhako’s beauty products are certified cruelty-free and are not sold in the Chinese market, where animal testing is required by law.

Every product purchased through Unhako is certified cruelty free by Leaping Bunny, Choose Cruelty Free, and/or Peta. Neither the product or any ingredients have ever been tested on animals. 

We’re not trying to trick you into feeling good about your choices. We want you to feel confident in your choices - especially when it comes to something as important as animal cruelty. 

Cruelty-Free Ownership

Our brands are also owned by people or parent companies that adhere to the same ethical, cruelty-free guidelines we require. Without naming and shaming, many ‘cruelty-free’ companies are owned by global entities that do engage in animal testing for their other brands. 
 
We don’t support (or stock) brands whose parent companies engage in animal testing or cruel practices in their supply chain.

Animal Product Transparency

While we LOVE vegan beauty, we do stock brands that use animal products in their products.  All the brands we supply have open and transparent supply chains and prioritize sustainable and ethical sources for the animal products. 
 
Brands stocked and sold by Unhako use non-animal sources, where possible. This means that if it can be sourced from plants, minerals or synthetics, it will be.
